Ahead of the Tuesday primaries, the AP and several other news outlets declared Hillary Clinton the presumptive nominee for the Democratic Party. The online audience for this trend skewed older (age 45 and up), and showed an affinity for the related topics of law, government and politics.


Kimbo Slice Mixed Martial Artist Kimbo Slice Dies at age 42 (Peaked on 6/7)
Kimbo Slice died Monday at the age of 42 after reports of being hospitalized in dire condition last Monday. The champion mixed martial artist’s last bout was in February against Dhafir “Dada 5000” Harris. Males, ages 13-34, drove the online conversation for Kimbo Slice and also showed an affinity for topics such as martial arts, sports, health & fitness, and world soccer.


Tel Aviv Attack Tel Aviv Terrorist Attack Leaves Four Dead (Peaked on 6/9)
Two Palestinians opened fire near an open-air market in central Tel Aviv last Wednesday. Four Israelis were killed and at least five others were wounded in what was one of the deadliest attacks in an eight-month wave of violence. The audience skewed older (55+) and slightly more male and understandably expressed very negative sentiment surrounding this trend.


Christina Grimmie Former The Voice Contestant Christina Grimmie Shot Dead (Peaked on 6/11)
A former contestant on The Voice, Christina Grimmie, was gunned down while signing autographs after her Orlando concert Friday night. Grimmie, who was only 22, finished third during the 2014 season of the signing competition. Females 13 to 24 were the primary audience for this trending topic.
